If you have not had the chance to check out repro depot's Japanese imported fabrics, please do!
Their animal fabrics are so cute it might give you a zinger.
What's a zinger? I'm not totally sure, but my husband gets them when he puts something sweet into his mouth and says it's this shooting funky sensation. Have you had a "zinger"? Can it exist if wikipedia doesn't know what it is? I'm not convinced that I've ever experienced this strange and unusual phenomenon.
Ok, so coming soon a post on exactly how to get a subscription to Japanese magazines if you live in the US, and perhaps some advise for our European friends.

Once upon a time ago - probably 10+ years by now, there was a zinc laden cough lozenge available on the market. (They still might be - I don't know, I am back to sugar free menthol thankyouverymuch.) While the sensation that they gave my was slightly below zinger - it was close...
ReplyDeleteI think the closest thing to zinger that I can recommend that will work all the time is "Pop rocks" yes, the candy from our childhood.
I forgot - I was VERY tepted by those imports while at reprodepot, but at a 1 yard minimum, I was lucky to just get the Heather Ross prints that I went for to begin with.
ReplyDeletezingers to me, feel like biting on aluminium foil with a metal filing in your tooth -- doesn't really hurt, but does spark those nerves to tingle level :-)
ReplyDeleteThe squirrel print is really cute.
Ack, those fabrics are too cute. You are so bad for my fabric diet! Oh well. And seriously, I thought wikipedia knew everything!
ReplyDeleteOh man....their fabric selection is to die for. But I still have a pile of Japanese fabrics I got a while ago that I haven't put to use. It sounds crazy but they're almost too pretty to cut up.
ReplyDeleteI could spend way too much money at repro depot! :) Very cute fabrics!
