Wednesdays are my favorite day of the week.
After work, my husband and our 2 year old scamper off to swimming lessons.
We fight over which parent gets to go into the water, because we love it so much despite the somewhat suspicious salty flavored water.
Tends to make for a busy night though. We got some un-romantic taco take out dinner, and had a very quiet night at home.
It is our 10 year first date anniversary tonight, so I gave my husband a few little music CD's that I thought he might enjoy.
Before he got a chance to listen to any of them, he fell asleep in our breakfast booth, and is still sleeping there like a baby.
Happy 10 my love. Hard to believe it's been that long.

I don't know what it is officially called, but do you use it to help feed small bits through your sewing machine?
ReplyDeleteI think it is an applique pressing tool. I hope I'm not way off!
ReplyDeleteIs it a hara? -- at least I think that's what its called -- a tool for marking a quilting pattern on a quilt by giving it a slight crease line...
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! I know this one since I read one of your posts recently where you had a link to it. I think the PIQF one? But it is Pearl's Applique and Pressing Tool!
ReplyDeleteOh... gee... after reading all the educated guesses, I am not going to suggest *fancy chopsticks.* I would be happy to use chopsticks all the time lol.
ReplyDeleteI think the pool you go to must be a bromine one instead of chlorine. I find bromine is a lot gentler on my skin and it does tasty mildly salty.
Is it a stileto? It also kind of reminds me of the pointy part that Sleeping Beauty pricks her finger on from the spinning wheel. Is that the spindle, maybe? Happy dating anniversary!
ReplyDeleteI have absolutely no idea what that is, but I feel like I have seen it before on your blog...
ReplyDeleteHappy 10 year dating anniversary:)
I am so embarrassed honey for falling asleep on you! Too much work, then too much fun at the pool, then too many tacos... that leads to a too sleepy husband! In some ways this feels more significant than our wedding anniversary as this means that we have been a part of each other's lives for a decade.
ReplyDeleteHere's to the next 10... and many many more after that!
Congrats! I have no clue what that thing is. :-)
ReplyDeleteBy the way - I think your applique and quilting are so perfect. Your whole blog is very inspiring! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteStiletto! A favorite tool...
