Label for Doll Quilt Swap #2

OK, this doll quilt is ready to roll out the door.

This weekend I finished the label, and attached it (by hand, of course) to the back of the little doll quilt.

The back of the quilt is sort of nuts with tons of dots, but its fun and it's just the back after all.

I used my usual pigma pen, and calligraphy style. Hope that my partner likes it...

I'm looking forward to going berry picking in Watsonville this afternoon. Strawberries, and olallieberries are ripe for the picking. Not sure how many will be eaten vs. how many will make it to the bucket to take home.

  1. lover how you've "hidden" your label amongst the dots. It's wonderful.

  2. Quacamosalsa can't be easier, mix diced avocado, onion, tomato, and jalapeno (pepper of your choice - maybe the ones that you are gorwing that don't hang down...) to taste with lime juice...

So if you like a lot of tomato, add more, if you don't care fo rtoo much onion, use less... I think mine was fairly even in ratio.

  3. Olallieberries should have their own label on my blog... we've made so posts about our quests for the little gems. Last year my sister-in-law sent us to Gizditch Ranch in Watsonville, where we picked... not berries, but a whole pie!
BTW you have been a terrific resource for me in the Doll Quilt Swap. I used one of my Pigma pens to write my label with, and that worked very well. I tried the cathedral windows, which I still need to master... I may be pestering you for some suggestions. Thank you for all of your interesting and inspiring posts.

  4. Beautiful label! I love your calligraphy style against the dots. What a great contrast in styles. :-)
