Garden Windows

As my garden grows...so does my cathedral windows quilt.

If you feel like making your own King Sized version....please feel free, just be sure to purchase 25 - 30 yards of white fabric first! Wow!

Between my wealth of house guests (and yes, I do love them!) I managed to get another block of the quilt done. Completed it will only be 4 blocks, so I'm almost half way done.

My last house guest cleaned my dirty stove (I'm blushing) and the most recent set took us out to a very fancy dinner! This summer we have TONS of visitors coming and going. Personally I like the coming part, as the going is always sad. I wish I could keep the whole lot of them all here on bunk beds with us to BBQ and party every night.

Thanks for popping by my blog Marisa! I absolutely love your work. Your cathedral windows quilt looks great.

I know what you mean about guests leaving. I just had my sister, her husband and their 2 children come to town for 4 days. It would be great if they never had to go home too... Goodbyes are always sad.

Hello! I was visiting a few days ago and meant to tell you that this quilt is amazing. I love the effect of the color, like stained glass, peeking through the beautiful, crisp white. I immediately recognized your name from the comment you left at Chickenblog... and isn't it interesting... the intricacy of the origami flower reminds me of your Cathedral squares!

Yes, that settles it. I definitely want to do a cathedral windows quilt. Maybe a small one. :)

I once made a cathedral window pillow as a wedding gift for a friend and thought it would someday be fun to make a bigger piece. I did get started using navy instead of white or muslin. Not sure what the windows will be yet.
