The Happiest Place on Earth

As a very special treat, our family went to Disneyland yesterday.

Even though I grew up about a 20 min drive from here, I had yet to appreciate it until this trip.

Our 2 yr old son loved it, and seeing it for the first time through his point of view was what really made us enjoy it this time.

The entire place is SERIOUSLY decorated for Christmas, which was also very beautiful. Have you ever made it there around the holidays? It's SO worth the trip.

Minnie blew a little kiss to our son, my husband ate fried chicken, grandparents took pictures, sister went on her favorite ride, and I even got to go on my favorite ride. It was so fun!

a family day together watching each other have fun can be such a gift, wherever you happen to be... Must admit I've never been, nor have any desire to go to any of the large amusement parks (I absolutely hate crowds of people), but the lights are sure appealing...

Hmmm... I think you are determined to post about places I work/worked! Yes, I worked at Disneyland for five years in high school and collage, and the thing I miss the most are the Christmas decorations. You couldn't help but get into the spirit there!

I totally agree about not appreciating some things until you see them through th eyes of your child. We live a few hours away from Disney World, I'm still crazy about my favorite ride... It's a Small World. (thanks for the shout out ;)

Thanks for your comment Marisa!!!! It's such a great feeling knowing that this year everybody that receives a gift from me will be receiving something that I've handmade. I hope thay all appreciate their gifts as much as I've enjoyed making them.
You're so very lucky to live as close as you do to such a wonderful attraction. I'm sure that your little son would of been absolutely exhausted after his big adventure to Disneyland!!! If and when I'm ever in that part of the world I'll definately go and visit the famous Disneyland...

Disney is an awesome place to take the kiddies!! It may be a money making machine but they sure know how to make it magic for the little ones. I can be fleeced a few times to see a smile on my kids face, that's for sure!
