Black Cherry

This is the cover of one of the Japanese quilt books I got used at Book Off.

My only regret with visiting the Costa Mesa, California store, is that I didn't also have time to visit the Rolling Hills and Los Angeles stores. I'm already planning my next trip there in my mind.

The most expensive book I bought was by Yoko Saito, and was only $14. The rest were either $4.50 or $2.00 each. I have to say that I really enjoyed my visit there and can only hope that I get to the other locations sometime.

In other news...have you visited Jinny Beyer's web site lately? She is trying to bring back the free block of the week thing, but I haven't noticed that she updated the block this week. Anyhow, it's free, and fun, so maybe something to keep an eye on.

I forgot to ask, does Yoko Saito's book have a lot of her taupe quilts? (I have only seen other peoples photos from quilt shows.) I have a huge Taupe stash & am on the look out for a quilt "pattern." (I have a few patterns in mind, but I am still in that too paralyzed to cut it stage...)
