Almost 2

PIQF requires a full shot as well as a detailed photo for the entry, so this is the detail on the airplane quilt.

I quilted it (boldly!) in a medium tan thread, rather than white, so the stiches really POP.

A little confession here, as well as a warning - if you're a Japanese fabric addict - please don't visit Repro Depot's Japanese import section. Danger...warning...seriously cute fabrics here.

I cannot fit any additional fabric into my office, but I bought a tiny bit anyhow! Eeeek!

Well, our little "baby" will be 2 in about a week.

In preparation for the big party, I'm making a few little things...photos soon!

Thanks for stopping by by blog. I am returning the visit and am enjoying what you have written and your pictures. Good luck getting your quilt in the show. I bet they will accept it. It looks very unique and well done. Have you been to Taniwa's blog? She is an American quilter living in Japan.

I don't know if I've commented before, but I love all of your projects and your attention to detail! So inspirational. I love the seam rippers (I have to get one!) and the photo of the tenugui. I use my tenugui either to wrap my hair up when cleaning (old fashioned of me, I know) or the nicer ones I have made into little bags. I have gotten so many as gifts over the years that I have quite the stash of them. Good luck with the PIQF entries - they are crazy if you don't take your quilts!

The quilt looks so nice! I am resisting going to reprodepot.. it's so dangerous! Let see how long I can go without buying fabric...
